Legal Communication Initiative for Law & Legal Studies Programs
Give your students practice for the conversations that carry them through their career — client interviews, difficult advice, negotiation — with soft skills that transfer from the classroom to the clinic to the firm.
Only 28 spaces available. Applications close October 30, 2026.
The Objective
Client-Ready Communication at Scale
Legal education is being asked to produce practice-ready graduates. But clinics, externships and standardized-client exercises are capacity-limited — every extra student means more supervising attorney hours and more variation in what each cohort actually gets.
This initiative makes it possible for law and legal studies programs to:
▪ Give every student repeated practice in client interviewing, counseling and difficult conversations
▪ Build transferable skills that students carry into any legal role
▪ Keep training consistent across cohorts, clinics and multi-campus programs

The Legal Communication Initiative
Selected institutions will receive free access to our immersive AI simulations, so students can rehearse high-stakes conversations and get personalized feedback after every attempt.
We saw that there is an increased need for soft skills practice in legal education , so we made a law enviornment, and we want you to be the first to test it.

Frequently asked questions
What happens after I apply?
Our team reviews every application individually. If you meet the eligibility criteria, expect to hear back within 2-3 business days. Due to application volume, we're not always able to share specific feedback if an application isn't successful. If accepted, you will be assigned a dedicated project manager to get started and agree on a start date together on your initial kickoff call.
Can I include a colleague in the review process?
You can add other faculty and colleagues to your project once your application is accepted. If you'd like to share more information or requests before then, include it in your application submission.
What am I expected to deliver in this program?
We ask participants to complete a feedback survey at the end of the program, which we use for research. In return, you'll receive complimentary access to Bodyswaps for 3 months, a dedicated project manager and learner analytics for your own reporting on communication performance. You will also be invited to community sessions to meet and share notes with others in your field.
What's the actual time commitment for my team?
This depends on how you plan to deploy the program — a single course versus a multi-site rollout, for example. The program is purposefully designed for busy educators and staff to enable you to train your students without additional workload, and most of your check-ins are optional. We'll outline the specifics with you during your orientation call if you're accepted.
Does this replace our clinic or externship program?
No. Most programs employ a hybrid approach, using Bodyswaps to scale individual communication practice, alongside live-client clinic work, standardized client exercises and supervised placement.
