Guest Experience Initiative for Hospitality Programs

Give your learners practice for the moments that make or break a guest's stay — the complaint, the mistake, the impossible request — before they handle one for real.

Only 28 spaces available. Applications close October 30, 2026.

The Objective

Confident Under Pressure, From Day One

In hospitality, training happens on the floor, in front of paying guests. High turnover and seasonal hiring mean the same onboarding runs over and over, and new hires learn service recovery by getting it wrong in front of someone who's already upset.

This initiative makes it possible for hospitality programs and employers to:

▪ Let learners rehearse complaints, escalations and difficult guests before their first shift
▪ Build transferable skills that apply to all venues and roles
▪ Keep training consistent across cohorts, sites, and seasonal hiring

The Guest Experience Initiative

Selected institutions and employers receive supported access to Bodyswaps' immersive AI simulations, so learners can rehearse a complaint, a booking gone wrong or a demanding guest — with personalized feedback every time.

The skills stay with them: staying composed when someone's angry, hearing the real problem, and recovering a situation instead of escalating it.

Frequently asked questions

What happens after I apply?

Our team reviews every application individually. If you meet the eligibility criteria, expect to hear back within 2-3 business days. Due to application volume, we're not always able to share specific feedback if an application isn't successful. If accepted, you will be assigned a dedicated project manager to get started and agree on a start date together on your initial kickoff call.

Can I include a colleague in the review process?

You can add other tutors, trainers and colleagues to your project once your application is accepted. If you'd like to share more information or requests before then, include it in your application submission.

What am I expected to deliver in this program?

We ask participants to complete a feedback survey at the end of the program, which we use for research. In return, you'll receive complimentary access to Bodyswaps for 3 months, a dedicated project manager and  learner analytics for your own reporting on communication performance. You will also be invited to community sessions to meet and share notes with others in your field.

What's the actual time commitment for my team?

This depends on how you plan to deploy it — a single module, a full cohort, or an induction programme across several sites. It's designed for busy tutors and duty managers to run without adding to the workload, and most of your check-ins are optional. We'll outline the specifics with you during your orientation call if you're accepted.

Does this replace our practical or work placement training?

No. Most programs use a hybrid approach, using Bodyswaps to give every learner individual practice at the hard conversations, alongside training restaurants, live service and placement.

Can we use this for apprentices and existing staff, not just students?

Yes. The program is open to degree and college courses, apprenticeship providers and employers running their own in-house training. Deployment differs — a college might timetable it into a module, an operator might build it into induction — and your project manager will help you plan whichever applies.
