Clinical Communication Initiative
for Nursing & Healthcare Programs
Give your students practice for patient communication that complements your existing curriculum – making your soft skills training AACN-aligned and consistent across every cohort.
Only 28 spaces available. Applications open until September 30, 2026.
The Objective
Communication Practice at Scale
NCLEX Next Generation communication items and AACN Essentials domains require it, but giving every student meaningful reps means more simulation hours, more faculty time and more scheduling complexity across sites.
This initiative makes it possible for healthcare education programs to:
▪ Scale students' communication practice for patient encounters
▪ Increase rehearsal time for vital skill development that saves lives
▪ Keep training consistent across cohorts and multi-site programs

The Clinical Communication Initiative
Selected institutions will receive supported access to Bodyswaps’ immersive AI simulations to strengthen students’ clinical communication before they enter practice.
Students will practice high-stakes patient interactions in a safe, realistic environment – building confidence, empathy and professional judgement with personalized feedback.

Frequently asked questions
What happens after I apply?
Our team reviews every application individually. If you meet the eligibility criteria, expect to hear back within two business days. Due to application volume, we're not always able to share specific feedback if an application isn't accepted. If you're accepted, you will be guided by a dedicated project manager to get started and agree on a cohort start date together, kicked off with a program welcome call.
Can I include a colleague in the review process?
You can add other faculty and colleagues to your project once your application is accepted. If you'd like to share more context before then, include it in the application form or reply to your application confirmation email.
What am I expected to deliver in this program?
We ask participating programs to complete a feedback survey and take part in an interview, which we use for research. In return, you'll receive complimentary access to Bodyswaps for 3 months, a dedicated project manager and a final data report for your own internal review.
What's the actual time commitment for my team?
This depends on how you plan to deploy the program — a single course versus a multi-site rollout, for example. We'll outline the specifics with you directly if you're accepted.
Does this replace our current simulation program?
No. Most programs take a hybrid approach with scalable individual communication practice for students, alongside in-classroom simulation and group learning.
