Who is it for?
This module is designed for nurses and nursing students to prepare for the challenges of interprofessional work, helping them to enhance their communication and collaboration skills.
While this module is tailored around the daily lives and responsibilities of nurses, other healthcare staff and students may find the tools useful and applicable to their own roles.
Scenario
Guided by two virtual coaches, Nurse Sam and Nurse Carlos, learners will explore how to utilise the Check-Back technique. They'll then practice it by verifying a patient's details with a virtual Charge Nurse.

Sam Smith
Sam is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and simulationist at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. As the first CRNA to complete a fellowship in Simulation Education at Cornell, she leads curriculum development for multi-professional and interdisciplinary patient care teams throughout the institution.
