Our approach
to AI

By focusing on our educators and our learners, we ensure our approach to AI balances innovation with the need to protect and empower our users.

How we use AI

Our current use of AI falls into two main categories: improved assessment & feedback and customisable AI roleplay simulators

Customisable AI roleplay simulators

We have a range of AI roleplay templates which you can customise through a no-code interface to personalise your learners’ experience.

You can then publish your customised roleplay to your account library or learning pathway. Each roleplay will also provide AI-powered feedback to enhance learner progress.

AI for improved assessment & feedback

We utilise Large Language Models (LLMs) to evaluate learners against their objectives, review their use of communication techniques, and to provide hyper-personalised feedback, in some cases including model answers.

Our AI for Good checklist

Any new AI feature we implement has to hit, at the very least, the three points below in order for us to be happy to release it:

  • Focus on learning performance
We only release AI features that enhance both the learning experience and outcomes.
  • Maintain psychological safety
Each of our AI features is tested to make sure they uphold and protect our learners’ psychological safety.
  • Ensure inclusivity
We vet each new AI feature to confirm that it’s free from representational bias, ensuring fairness and equality for all our learners.

How do we ensure quality?

We do not use AI to cut corners in our creation or design. We are committed to using AI only to enhance human-led design, not replace it.

Even after they’ve been released, we review AI responses to make sure we’re always improving performance.

What people say about Bodyswaps

"The AI roleplay simulator provided a dynamic and immersive debate experience, allowing me to input the topic and opposing opinions before engaging directly with the avatar. It felt incredibly realistic as I had to think on my feet, counter arguments, and adapt my approach in real time. The simulator's ability to challenge me with diverse perspectives not only sharpened my debating skills but also built my confidence in handling complex discussions."
