Brittany Haskell
Assistant Professor of Nursing & Psychiatric/Mental Health NP
Brittany Haskell is a board certified psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner with 12 years of diverse clinical experience in psychiatry. Haskell has worked in a range of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings with a focus on adult patients with a spectrum of mental health diagnoses. She considers it a privilege to join her patients on their journey towards a healthier well-being. Currently, she works in an outpatient psychiatric practice serving adults in the Nashville community.
Haskell joined the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing faculty in 2015. As an Assistant Professor of Nursing, she teaches across programs from pre-licensure to the doctoral level with a focus on legal and ethical considerations related to nursing practice, along with meeting the health-related needs of populations in the community setting. She particularly enjoys working closely with students and community partner agencies on quality improvement projects to improve health education and navigation of care.
