Social work · Experiential Research Cohort · Spring 2027 Placement Ready

For many social work students, the first difficult disclosure happens in field placement.

Placement Ready lets every student practice first client meetings with AI clients who hold something back, as often as they need, and gives faculty a scored record before field placement.

Free for 15 social work courses, January to March 2027.

Reserve by Thursday, December 10

Inside Placement Ready

An assessed first meeting. Two harder practice clients. Then an assessed endpoint.

Each client holds something back. The practice levels build the skills the baseline exposes, and the endpoint is matched to the baseline so scores compare directly. Built for MSW and BSW students in the semester before field placement.

Practice

Assessed

Practice, level 2

Rena, 35

Referred after a neighbor's call

Previous experiences with services felt intrusive. Skeptical, and opens up only on a second, better attempt.

Practice, level 3

Kwame, 39

Referred by his children's school

Exhausted. Mentions something difficult, then closes down. Pushing makes it worse.

Assessed baseline

Darius, 42

Referred by his doctor after a welfare check

His partner left four months ago and he has told no one. He came because he felt he had no choice.

Assessed endpoint

Amara, 38

Referred by occupational health

Composed, polite, and holding something back. Matched to the baseline for field readiness sign-off.

“Things at home are not good right now.”

Kwame, at level 3. Then he stops. The skill is staying with the silence, not filling it with solutions.

Faculty see every attempt

Every assessed conversation is scored against clear criteria, with transcripts and progress for each student.

What faculty see

  • First attempt against latest, criterion by criterion, so you can see the whole class move.
  • Every student's latest grade and how it changed, with nothing averaged away.
  • One click from any grade to the transcript and the feedback the student saw.

Why educators trust Bodyswaps

Built for the conversations that matter, and used by faculty who teach them.

Is it really free?

Yes. From January to March 2027 there is no cost to your institution. In return we ask for anonymized student data for the cohort research and a short survey at the end.

Does this replace field education?

No. It gives students practice before placement, so they reach their first client meeting having rehearsed a difficult disclosure.

Can faculty change the pathway?

Yes. Placement Ready is ready to run as built, and faculty can edit the criteria, characters and levels to match their course and rubric.

What data do you share, and how is it used?

Anonymized results feed the cross-institution findings report. Nothing in the report identifies individual students.

How many places are there?

Fifteen, one per course. We confirm every place personally.

What do we get at the end?

Scores, transcripts and AI Coach debriefs for every student, plus the cross-institution findings report with your program named in it.
